Juli).
The research team of Fraunhofer IMW and the Hamburg University of Technology is delighted to announce the final conference of its research project “Potentials of frugal Innovation“ in Hamburg on 27th September 2017. The final research results will be presented and discussed together with experts from science, politics, industry, and civil society.
A review workshop with four external experts from science and industry took place on 03.02.2017 as the conclusion of the third work package (WP3). The workshop focused on innovation paths in the German and Indian automotive supply industries, which were identified within the framework of the project. Short profiles of the German and Indian automotive supply industries were presented as well as the results of 32 interviews which had been conducted by the project team with managers from Germany and India.
Overall, the project results received a positive response from the experts. New insights gained as a result of the lively discussion during the workshop are currently being reviewed out and will be included in two working papers on the results of AP3, which will be published here in the near future.
The validation workshop will take on May 10th, 2017 at Fraunhofer IMW in Leipzig.
Further information will be announced on this site.
From 19 – 22 June, the project partner TUHH took part in the ISPIM Conference in Porto and presented research results from work packages 1 and 2 in a session entitled “Frugal Innovations – an Innovation Concept Western Firms Cannot Ignore?“.
From 3 – 6 July, both project partners (TUHH and Fraunhofer IMW Leipzig) presented current research results at the RnD Management Conference in Cambridge. In two separate sessions on “Frugal Innovation” organized and led by the TUHH, researchers from Europe and Japan presented and discussed overall 9 papers.
By actively organizing these sessions both conferences could be utilized to engage in a broad discussion with the research community and practitioners and generate new research impulses for the ongoing project apart from disseminating interim results.
We are very pleased to publish a short video featuring scenes and interviews from the symposium on frugal innovation in Leipzig on 24 June 2016.
We would like to thank all contributors in the video, Prof. Dr. Cornelius Herstatt (Hamburg University of Technology), Wolfgang Höltgen (team höltgen consulting), Dr. Luise Fischer (Fraunhofer IMW) and Dr. Rajnish Tiwari (Hamburg University of Technology).
The video was produced by Till Feige and Jonas Gerhardt (University of Leipzig).
